Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation welcomes new directors and treasurer
WEST ALLIS, Wis. – The Wisconsin Dental Association Foundation is pleased to announce two additions to its board of directors, as well as a new treasurer.
Dr. Eugene Shoemaker, a general dentist from Waukesha, has been appointed a state director. A WDA member for more than 30 years, Dr. Shoemaker has served in several leadership roles including a term as WDA president. He is a graduate of the Marquette University School of Dentistry and a fellow of the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists and Pierre Fauchard Academy. A strong advocate for philanthropy in organized dentistry, Dr. Shoemaker has volunteered at several Mission of Mercy events, as well as the MUSoD-Pierre Fauchard Academy-WDA Mentor Program.
Ms. Linda Quast was appointed to serve as an at-large director. Quast is a regional manager for Henry Schein Dental with more than 25 years of professional sales experience.
Dr. Richard Mueller, a retired general dentist from Hales Corners who has served on the WDA Foundation Board of Directors since 2023, has accepted the role of treasurer. Dr. Mueller has been active in organized dentistry at the state, regional and local levels throughout his career. He is the treasurer for the Greater Milwaukee Dental Association (GMDA) and has served as a delegate to the WDA House of Delegates since 2001.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Shoemaker and Ms. Quast to the WDA Foundation Board of Directors, and to have Dr. Mueller in this new role,” said Foundation President Dr. Thomas Nockerts (Green Bay). “Their passion for philanthropy and enthusiasm for building relationships will greatly enhance the Foundation’s mission to improve the oral health of Wisconsin residents.”
