Advanced Cardiac Life Support Renewal Course (PM)

Our ACLS Program brings the AHA program into the dental office. We recognize dentists cannot do or have everything that would be available in an emergency hospital setting. While dentists cannot provide all ACLS treatments in the dental office there is a lot they can provide & that is what we put an emphasis upon. Our Dental ACLS class is based upon the American Heart Association's ACLS program. We utilize the ACLS Algorithms published in 2020. Using these AHA algorithms we teach the dentist and staff how to assess patients, determine if their patients are stable or unstable, & then apply the appropriate treatment. Our teaching approach uses equipment that is easily available in the dental office setting. This course includes basic rhythm recognition including bradycardia, tachycardia, & cardiac arrest arrhythmias. Learning stations include airway management, how to obtain vascular access through IV or IO, & all ACLS medications.
